Junior Olympic: USA Judo National Junior Championships:
Hi All,
Here are the final results for our team.
Day 1:
Dorian took silver with a 3-2 record in the Juv B -81kg div
Gavin placed 5th with a 2-2 record in the Juv A -53kg div
Olijah placed 9th with a 1-2 record in the Inter 2 -34kg div
Landon placed 9th with a 1-2 record in the Inter 2 -54kg div
Day 2:
Dorian fought in the IJF Junior -90kg div but did not receive any ranking
Day 3: Junior Olympic International Championship divisions
Landon took Gold with a 5-1 record in the Inter 2 -54kg div.
Also fighting for us in the International Championship competition were Gavin and Olijah but they did not receive any ranking. Dorian had to bow out due to injury.
So all in all we are coming back with a hard fought gold and silver medal. Not bad for 4 players.
A big thanks to the Jen,Shannon and Loreal who traveled down with the players and to Tino who did an assume job coaching. Jen also did a great job helping with the bracketing paper work.
Landon was chosen as the MVJ Shiai Obi award winner for this tournament.
