Mountain View Judo Club head Sensei DEE HIGH receives ROKUDAN promotion during our annual summer party.
Sensei Bob Brink came to Anchorage to award Sensei Dee with his Rokudan yesterday.
This was a big deal not only for Dee but also for Alaska Judo. As Sensei Brinks mentioned, Dee has joined a rare group as only Dee and Bob have achieved this rank in Alaska.
On hand for the presentation were Dee's family and close friends. Also there to congratulates Dee were the MVJ club members and about 30 other Alaska Judoka and friends. This truly was an Alaska event. MVJ want to thank all those who came out to join us on seeing Dee receive his Promotion to Rokudan.
